The Challenge
Macawber Beekay prides itself on offering turnkey solutions to reduce environmental pollution and conserve energy. With more than 1,500 employees, Macawber was looking for a remote solution that enables a distributed workforce to easily and conveniently access applications and desktops from anywhere.
Macawber had originally chosen to use Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) but found it complicated to set up and maintain, and frustrating to use due to its limited functionality. IT admins were forced to learn the server IP address and login credentials for every remote machine they needed to connect to. All this red tape was a non-starter for Macawber. The level of technical savvy required to conduct business as usual was stressful to many of the remote employees who needed the help most. Macawber decided to use this challenging experience as an opportunity to find a better solution.
The Solution
