Chelles (Learn more) is a commune in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France, located in the Seine-et-Marne department in the Île-de-France region, 11 miles from the center of Paris. With a population of 53,708 (according to the 2014 census), Chelles is the most populated commune in its department. The inhabitants of Chelles are called Chellois.
The Challenge: Lacking centralized controls for application delivery
In years past, the government council of Chelles relied on Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) to deliver Windows applications to its users on remote devices connected to their private cloud. However, the Chelles administrative organization required a virtualization solution that would allow them to centrally manage the solution and streamline installation and updates. The virtualization solution also needed to be able to deliver customized applications to its public servants working on various devices, including Windows and Mac.
