Ray Davis

Ray Davis

United States

Hello everyone, my name is Ray Davis. I am 41 years old and married to a beautiful woman who supports my hobbies and helps me be successful in life. I am a faith-based man and rely heavily on that in my life. I have a beautiful grandson who keeps me on my toes. I have been working in the IT industry since 2001. Overall, I have been in the EUC world for 15 years and have 17 years of experience in implementing/architecting and managing enterprise-scale Citrix Virtual App and Desktop /VMware Infrastructure/Server infrastructure migrations/AD migrations and expert advice. I started doing computer repair, then moved into supporting desktops in an enterprise environment. One of the many things I assisted with was the Citrix program network neighborhood on computers and thin clients many years ago.

The concept was very intriguing, and I became more interested in how Citrix worked. I started to investigate and build home labs around this. During that time, it opened an opportunity to create a VMware cluster and install Citrix presentation 4.5 Farm. I only had one chance to make sure this was successful. In the end, it was successful. Many doors started to open around the EUC world for me, and I have been doing it ever since. I have learned a lot along the way, and I continue to learn every day. I started working to help companies tune their environment, assist in upgrades, and educate onsite Citrix admins. It’s been an exciting time in my life. I hope to provide a working guide of fundamental day-to-day knowledge. I strive to help others outside my regular job routine in their journey within Information Technology and life. I am always hungry, looking to excel in whatever is in front of me. As you know, things change very fast, which can be challenging to grasp. I try to be my best based on God-given abilities that fit within the realm. I believe in treating people with respect no matter what. I try to lead by example and value my family above others. I have a fantastic family that supports my career and my outside community efforts, as well as some mentors I currently work with that help me continue to grow to the next levels. I am a blessed man, and I am very thankful for the opportunities that were given to me in my life.
