There are different stages to consider when moving your apps to a SaaS model. From assessment and Proof of Concept (P.o.C) to production, pilot and finally general availability. From start to finish it could be done in a matter of days or a matter of months – this process will go the speed your business requires.
This really all depends on your business’s circumstances. Do you want to simply host your apps for your current customer base or grow your clientele? There are lots of variables to consider but with Parallels your business has options. Contact our team to work through a general assessment that will give you more guidance and insight into your choices.
Cloud-based environments are built with security at their core, as all applications and data are stored in a central location. This provides added security, since that data is not stored on the end point device, mitigating data loss from theft or damage. Moreover, Parallels offers specific features like Multi-Factor Authentication and Single Sign-On.
The term “cloud” can mean two hosting practices for your applications. Initially, and with a reasonably-sized customer base in one central location, your applications would likely be hosted on a private on-premises server, building out the environment as your customer base grows. If you have a dispersed customer base located across different regions and countries, then your applications could be hosted in the cloud with a Cloud Service Provider (CSP) like Microsoft® Azure. This option offers lower latency access to your customer apps and data and can be set up for efficient IT infrastructure management.
